Last show!
by o1music on Feb.04, 2012, under Dates, David Garrett, Wolfblog
Hey folks,
Wow. The last show is tonight at the Beacon in NYC. It’s been a fun tour once again performing with David.
I’ve been unusually quiet on this trip. In between traveling and shows I’m working on my own new cd…. Working in hotels and in the bus etc to finish everything in time for the next round of tours in Germany. I’ll share more photos of this tour when I get a quiet moment!

Photo Des Tages

Well,
I Love starting a tour in a sunny, warm and beautiful place. San Diego is a nice soft start to this relatively small DG American tour. Love this town I must say…. Wish I could hit the beach tomorrow but the tour has other plans… We’ll drive to the desert just to spite my first wish! So be it…
I was jogging this morning and left my camera (phone) at the hotel… some quiet is nice… too bad missed a few great shots.. I realized then I should always have it with me from now on…
Still, there are a few pix to get the Photo Des Tages ball rolling. Here goes!

Merry Holidays!
by o1music on Dec.23, 2011, under Photos, Wolfblog
Hey folks…
Wishing you all a great holiday! Thanks to all those who have sent personal notes on Facebook & Twitter and to my email account! Your kind words are much appreciated! THANK YOU!
This set of photos encompasses my last seven days. On Friday I flew to Germany to play a Christmas concert for German TV called “Weinachten mit dem Bundespräsidenten”. This happened in the very church where Martin Luther started the Protestant Reformation with his 95 Theses. Pretty cool. It was a wonderful trip and once again fun to play with DG on the classical guitar! This show airs in Germany on Christmas Eve on ZDF.
(This week German TV I’m on a few Christmas shows backing up DG. Today I was sent a pic of me singing “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” with Jan Fedder for his Christmas special. It’s included in these photos…. Fun time!)
Fast forward 24hrs after the German concert, I was back in NYC and completely consumed with preparation and recording again for my next MW cd. So get ready folks… More music to come! My good friend and songwriter Matthew Kelley and I have collaborated on this next cd. I’m recording all his songs for this one! The songs have become OURS and it has been a great communal effort… Songs of positive energy and light!
The same great team from the MIRROR cd is with me again. Adrian Harpham on drums, Jonathan Maron on bass and Phil Nicolo recording and mixing.
I’m really looking forward to this project so stay tuned!
Have a great Holiday Season folks and I will see you all on the road!!
Big Love

JK & the B’s performing Friday in NYC
by o1music on Dec.08, 2011, under Dates, Marcus Wolf, Wolfblog
I’m playing at a tiny coffee house with a great band I’ve been a part of the last 3 years or so. We’ve done two records to date and both recordings were recorded at a house in upstate NY for 3 days… Live tracking and a select few overdubs… A very organic approach. The band is the brainchild of legendary friend and writer Joel Kaminer. He’s one of those friends who send you 50 emails in the span of a few days and has absolutely no filter whatsoever… He would also do just about anything to help a brother out. He’s crazy and there is only one like him!

Stockholm Paris Milan photos
by o1music on Nov.26, 2011, under Tour Photos, Wolfblog
Traveling traveling traveling…. Stockholm, Paris and now Milan….
Each town has something I can’t forget… Stockholm, so beautiful there, the air is clean even in the heart of the city, took a nice jog and woke myself up! Paris the funniest hotel ever with black light hallways and amazingly non functional design… what a mess, eating breakfast in a blacklight lit bar, basically eating in the dark. Nice way to wake up … little things like the cube shaped soap. The Paris show was at a rock club for 500 people… my favorite gig thus far with fans a foot away from the stage directly in front of me. Wonderful vibes!
Milan, where the first restaurant we went to sat us down and simply began bringing dishes of amazing food! I never even had the chance to order… and then charged us soo little I could not believe it! Have seen clothes of the finest quality in every shop… Fantastic. Now leaving for the show in a little while. Enjoy the photos!

classical duo videos
by o1music on Nov.15, 2011, under David Garrett, Videos, Wolfblog
Last week I performed with David Garrett playing selections from his new LEGACY cd which was just released last week in Germany. The cd features all orchestral arrangements with David as the soloist.
I took these arrangements and wrote arrangements for solo guitar to cover the orchestra parts. It was the first time in quite a while that I got to use my classical skills and I loved it! It was also really fun for me because I got to use my new classical guitar for the first time… And it is a masterpiece! We did many shows last week and some will be airing in Germany at a later date.
I do have two videos that have already been posted on my FaceBook page from fans etc, but I want to have them on this site also! Thanks for listening!

Moollon pickups
by o1music on Nov.11, 2011, under MW Gear, Wolfblog
Today I got the urge to install my new Moollon humbucker pickups into my all time favorite Les Paul.
I’ve always been happy with the tone of this instrument… Over the years I’ve made upgrades to the electronics, but never touched the pickups. I had no idea what I was missing. Essentially, the guitar always sounded great when on full volume but no matter what I did I always had a muddled tone when I rolled back the volume, even after upgrading all the control pots and capacitors.
So enter the new pickups and wow… clearer tone all around and super punchy when volume rolled back. The pick ups are not too loud but rather very smooth tones truer to a vintage quality. Really happy with this upgrade!
cheers
